Today we’d like to introduce you to Priti Singh.
Hi Priti, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My passion for creativity started with my family growing up in New Jersey in the mid-60’s. My family taught me to value all that we grew up with and my parents taught me how to sew, upholster, paint and create with all that we had. Creativity and community have always stuck with me and this inspired me to create different outlets for my creativity. I began as a teenager by planning events and celebrations for friends and family. After university, I entered the corporate world in the administrative side of medicine. Once my daughter was born, I stayed home with her to balance our home life and my husband traveling. It was during this time that I rediscovered my creative passions.
After moving to Brentwood with my husband and daughter, I realized that I was no longer living with passion and creativity. I knew I needed to find something to breathe new life into myself and my family. Community service has always been integral to my life and since moving to the Nashville area, I wanted to create a space where creativity meets community. By chance through an ad on social media, I found Pinspiration. I realized that our community needed a space to showcase and celebrate creativity and art. Pinspiration’s motto is “Where Community Meets Creativity” and that spoke to me. After long hours of research and long discussions with my husband, we decided to go all in. We joined the Pinspiration family in 2019 and planned for a 2020 opening. We were so excited! I went to the flagship store in Arizona for training in February 2020, and then COVID-19 stopped everything.
Opening a new business is hard, and we had plans to open a new business during a pandemic. Our original opening date was June 2020, but we could not even get into our space, let alone do construction, order supplies, or envision our opening. In the fall of 2020, we were finally able to start personalizing our space and creating this business. We decided to open at the end of October 2020. Our community was still very cautious and we had an extremely slow start. At times I began to wonder if we would ever gain traction in the community. We held camps, events, workshops, parents’ nights out, and so much more find a way to get our name out there.
As restrictions have lessened and our community has become more active, we are so happy to see birthdays, corporate events, workshops, fundraisers, and so much more come through our space! We still have so much more to offer because we are not limited by crafts or creative minds. Our studio has over 150 different projects and infinite ways to personalize each one. Our team loves how much they can help and inspire every customer that comes through our studio!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Brentwood is known for its incredible education system. My family chose to live here because we knew our daughter would be in amazing public schools and exposed to amazing opportunities. Our community has incredible sports programs and great connections to the entertainment industry. When we moved here, I felt the lack of creative outlets for physical art. That is why I decided to open Pinspiration Brentwood. While there are art studios in the area, we differ because we have countless mediums for our customers to use. We are not only a wood studio or a ceramics studio, we offer everything!
