Inspiring Conversations with Brittney Leigh Sharpe of Butterfye Evolution

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Leigh Sharpe.

Hi Brittney Leigh, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m 31 years old, born and raised in Nashville, TN. I started Butterfye Evolution June of 2020. We were in the middle of the pandemic and I was starting to slightly lose my mind. I wanted something that I could switch my attention to. At the same time, someone close to me was having a hard time finding a solution to treat his dry skin. So I started the research on what would naturally help soothe his skin. For weeks, I figured out what ingredients would not only help nourish and repair the skin but also keep it hydrated.

I started selling my body butter and over time, I have received so many awesome reviews on how it has helped their skin. My skincare collection also includes body scrubs, body oils, and hair & beard products.

Not only is Butterfye Evolution my skincare line but I also host different types of events such as pop ups and women empowerment events, My company has many umbrellas and Im excited to see where the future takes me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say in the beginning, it’s rough due to trying to start a business in the middle of the pandemic. I was also having a hard time on learning how to market and sell my products on social media. I took an online class on how to market my business virtually. Once the world opened back up, I was able to start selling my products at different vending events around the city.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Butterfye Evolution is a company for skincare, events, pop ups, and anything that I decide I want to get involved in. Overall, my company is my brand. What sets me apart from other skincare companies is that I make sure all my products are made with all-natural products and no preservatives. What I am most proud of is that my company is making a name for itself. I have been recognized for awesome customer service and making people feel good while using my product.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
My favorite podcast is the Woman Evolve podcast with Sarah Jakes Roberts and my favorite book Woman Evolve is also by her. I love the words and the encouragement that she speaks over her viewers. It keeps me motivated and reminds me that I can overcome anything that I put my mind to.
