Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanza Perry Cooper.
Hi Tanza, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m originally from Paris, TN. I relocated to Nashville in 2016 after many years of following my husband from duty station to duty station while he was active duty in the Army.
I’ve always loved planning events and organizing. Because of this love, I became the go-to person for planning our family reunions, military spouse events and events for church, work and my sorority. In 2007, after many years of planning events for free, I decided to turn my passion & hobby into a legitimate business.
I’m a lover of chocolate and champagne. In my spare time, you will find me shopping, redecorating my home, reading business blogs and romance novels.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve had some bumps in the road, mainly because of my husband being in the military, where we moved often. I had to start my business over every two to three years, so it wasn’t easy at times. When I started to grow my business, soon after it was time for us to relocate to another place. After settling into a new location, I had to re-build my business again with a new place and new environment.

LeeHenry Events LLC (LHE) is a boutique wedding and event planning company. We are based in Nashville, TN but plan celebrations outside of Nashville. Our mission is to produce timeless celebrations with a modern feel for the stylish, sophisticated busy professional. Be it brands or people, we offer creative solutions, provide tailored services, transform visions and create unforgettable experiences.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I don’t have a specific book or blog that I use as a resource but I am obsessed with reading business blogs. I’m always on Pinterest searching for the next business article.
To streamline the planning process with my clients, I use a wonderful online software that allows me to invoice and plan with my clients.
