Meet Jacob Marx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacob Marx.

Hi Jacob, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Born and raised in Southern California I was raised by great parents that had always instilled hard work into me by experiencing and practicing it by working inside of our family restaurant at a young age. It was a sight to see an 8-year-old running a cash register in the mid-’90s before the fantastic POS systems we have today. Years later I had fallen into a low point of my life by nobody’s fault other than myself. My back history of everything from 15-19 includes multiple run-ins with the law, drug issues, dropping out of high school, and many other immature activities. After many hard times and many trying times, I cleaned up my act and found a massive thirst for business, freedom, and knowledge. I self-educated myself through years of working different jobs and careers until founding my first business in 2015. From 2015 to 2017 I strictly ran my business which was a commercial landscape business. 2017 I founded my second company Split Second. Split Second is an events service-based business specializing in photo booth rentals, photography, and videography.

2019 I sold my Landscape business and me and my wife and 3 children moved to Tennessee. Tennessee was the change we needed and propelled me into new industries that I Currently work in. From 2019 to 2020 I built the Split-Second brand and managed to weather through the storm of covid and come out on the other side busier than ever.

2020 I launched my YouTube channel (based around, business and cryptocurrency) and personal brand and began working with other businesses on marketing and advertising, and sales and also launched our academy photoboothcheatcode.com.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running two businesses at one time had its challenges that took some time to learn how to navigate through. Putting the right people in place and finding good employees also was a more in-depth process needed for our industry compared to others.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As an owner of a small business, you have to learn how to do everything inside your business first before you can put the right system or person in place to fulfill that job or task. My skills have translated into many different avenues but my creative expertise comes more naturally. From a young age, I was creating and shooting my own videos and always building some intricate projects. Today I put forward that creativity in my YouTube channel and any piece of marketing campaign that I create. It’s what has brought me the most success in my life and the driving force for my motivation. Being constantly in need for a creative outlet brings lots of value for my customers and my own value. Solving problems is how I make a living while creating digital content and garnering attention is how I create wealth.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes. Covid 19 was the most important year of my life. It taught me that things will always go unexpected and problems will always arise no matter how well you do. Stay focused, adapt, drown out the noise, put your head down and push through. Times of distress will elevate the driven and determined.

Im proud of this young man as when he found self is a limit he completely transformed. How to win friends and influence people was a book givin to him. He ate that book in days, he was pretty young. I could not get my own three boys at that time to read it. He saw what I did and emediatly I could see that he said to himself, said if that guy can do it so can I. I could tell that he was special and hes proving it every day. I can’t wait to see what he does next. He’s got quite a nimble mind. He also quick ind mind and a straight shooter.
