Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Anto.
Hi Sam, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Kerala, India, and earned a Master’s degree in Business administration from University of Madras. I started my career in marketing in 1997 and two years later transitioned into business development for an IT company. Building on my experience in business development I founded a boutique software development firm in Bangalore and ran it until moving to America in 2005.
While in India, I became passionate about organizations that provided charitable support to children from a health and education standpoint. I was involved in the founding of several nonprofit organizations and continue to participate as the Chairman of Carmel Maria Charitable Trust. And also as the co-founder and former President of the Kerala Association, I am deeply involved in the charitable and social initiates of the organization.
Once in the US, I started my career in IT business development, eventually expanding into IT staffing. In 2010, I partnered with a company called Capital Group as an equity and derivative trader. I continued to maintain relationships back home in India and my involvement with the nonprofit organizations that I founded.
As friends and families from India moved to the Nashville from other states, they would reach out to me with housing needs and ultimately needed a Real Estate agent. At the time, I was referring business to other agents that I knew. Then came the realization that I could help families by becoming a Real Estate professional. With my background in business development, equity investing, and marketing, I started becoming immersed in real estate.
I started leading charitable initiatives in my community, received awards from Berkshire Hathaway and Malayalam Puraskaram for “social and charitable leadership” as Real Estate became a career, I quickly rose to becoming recognized professionally by receiving the rising star award from the Greater Nashville Realtor association in 2017.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting over in a new country forced me to overcome many challenges personally and financially. I sought out mentors and guidance from people who found success before me. I looked for people to partner with that I could trust. While failure was not an option, it was a common, painful, and recurring exercise that I had to learn to deal with.

The Anto Team offers service in all Middle TN counties. Our services include: Commercial and Residential Real Estate and cover residential buyer representation, listing, land deals, redevelopment projects, commercial leasing, commercial listing, and NNN income-generating properties.
We have experienced agents with different life and work experience who can guide and navigate our clients in any vertical with local exposure and local expertise. Our agents work closely to analyze Real Estate from an IT standpoint. We turn data into information and bundle value with experience from diverse professional backgrounds.
For our residential investors, we take care of the entire leasing process post-closing for their investment homes. We help our clients to understand the cash flow, return on investment, and expenses on each property with our unique analytical tools and approaches.
What does success mean to you?
One of my favorite quotes comes from Warren Buffett: “When you get to my age, you’ll really measure your success in life by how many of the people you want to have love you actually do love you. That’s the ultimate test of how you have lived your life. The more you give love away, the more you get.”
