Meet Stephanie Patton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Patton.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The Nashville Food Club started in April of 2015 with collective of food lovers. We went to a local restaurant and the food was NOT great, in fact, it was not even good. At that point, we decided to go to visit different restaurants monthly and rate them using a 5-point rating system.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Initially, we struggled to find new restaurants to go to as members would find a place they liked & wanted to keep going there. That’s when we came up with the rule that we could never go to the same place twice. Each month our members would take turns picking the restaurant & it always has to be a place we’ve never been to. Also, Covid challenged the restaurant industry and made it difficult to make reservations for a group our size.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are known for being fair and honest with our ratings. We are most proud of the overwhelming positive responses we’ve been getting via social media. What sets us apart is we are a diverse group of food lovers ranging in various ages with very different palates.

What matters most to you?
That people are getting the quality of food & service they pay for. But most of all it’s the experience of breaking bread with others that genuinely love & appreciate great food.
