Today we’d like to introduce you to Journie Muse. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Inspiring Beautiful Journey is the meaning of her name Journie Jamila Muse backwards. She was born on April 3rd, 2013, in Nashville TN with a rare condition called Albinism. Now at the age 8, Journie is the founder of a 50c3 Nonprofit Organization called Albinism Shine. 

Journie along with her parents felt the need to bring attention to the urgency to educate communities about albinism. People with albinism face a challenging life. However, children are faced with discrimination more than others. The struggle for children is rooted in the lack of education, which brings about bullying. Journie and her parents believe we can raise Albinism Awareness with positive human values such as Supporting, Helping, Inspiring, Nurturing, and Educating. By taking this approach with her parents through our mission and core values. We can work together as kindred spirits to raise Albinism Awareness in a creative and unique way. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The adorable fair-skinned African American Model as beaten the odds even now at the age 8. Her bubbly personality takes a friendly approach and has led her to a great start in her modeling career. Journie has worked with some amazing companies, brands, and photographers as a brand representative, child Influencer, Ambassador. Journie has been in art, print, media, and fashion. 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Journie’s parents launched Journie Muse LLC an inspired online boutique store with the heart to raise Albinism awareness. They feel the most important benefit of modeling and starting her own business is to focus on her confidence.
