Hi Sharonda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi! My name is Sharonda Johnson.

I was born and raised in Nashville, currently living in La Vergne, TN. I am the only girl of three boys in my family! I am also a mother of two teenage boys. One is a highly active football player and the other one is highly driven in computer software and coding.

Growing up, I always struggled with my weight; it was something I was very conscious about. In 2015, at my heaviest at almost 300 lbs. I started having heart palpations. Whenever I did anything strenuous, I felt like I was having a heart attack. I became so frustrated with myself and my weight because I knew I was the cause of it. Only I had the ability to change it. I did not want my sons to grow up unhealthy or without me. So, I decided to do something about my weight.

I have lost over 100 lbs. It has not been easy getting it off or keeping it off. I have rocked the scale back and forth over the years, but one thing is for sure: I never gave up. I changed my eating habits, started exercising regularly, drinking lots of water, making time for myself, and keeping my stress level down. Although I made many changes in my life, I was still struggling with fatigue and iron deficiency.

In April 2019, I started looking for something natural that I can take that could help with the symptoms I was having. Then, I came across a YouTube video of an herbalist named Dr. Sebi. that was speaking highly about sea moss and how it helped change his health situation. I immediately started to search for someone that sold this product. I searched and searched and I finally found a seller in Atlanta. When I started taking Sea Moss, this supplement changed my life! After taking it for a month, I noticed my bowels were regular, my skin glowed, and I had ENERGY! I eventually had more energy to exercise, run a business, attend to boys’ football activities my boys, and work. This was a game-changer for me!

In April of 2020, I was furloughed from my job. As a result, I had a lot of free time. In August, I found out that I may not be able to return back to work. I only had $300 left in my savings. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business from scratch has been the hardest but most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I fund my business completely out of pocket. so, not having a lot of money to work with, I had to learn how to be creative.

I learned a lot about myself and had to push myself pasted my insecurities and fears. I remember when I was thinking about starting my business, I went through some anxiety and doubt. My biggest fear was failing. I had several businesses before this and they all failed. I almost let my mind sike me out of not starting my business. However, I knew I had to do something to support my family.

When I first started out, I had no idea how to make sea moss gels. Up to this point I’ve always brought my sea moss gel from someone. Making it was a whole nother situation. I spent 270.00 on a starter kit. which had 5lb of raw sea moss and herbs. After my first attempt to make it on my own, I realize this is going to be much harder than I expected.

Needless to say, I messed a lot with my sea moss. It wasn’t until then, that I thought I made a huge mistake by investing in this product. However, the determination that’s in me, wouldn’t allow me to fail. Through lots of trial and error, I finally got the measurements right.
