Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Kaye.
Hi Lindsey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Lindsey Kaye, singer, actress and business owner.I moved to Nashville in 2018 from Grand Rapids, MI. I moved here to pursue a career full time in music. I started my handmade earring business in 2019, i publicly launched it in 2021.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Not at All!
The hardest struggle was being without my children. Although they’re in great hands, I wanted to do this journey with them by my side. They didn’t like Nashville so I moved them back to MI without me. I struggled because of guilt. That was the hardest because I was all about them once I became their mother. I moved to better their lives but they were unhappy. That brought a lot of down moments to me. Once 2020 happened, I started realizing I wasn’t happy trying to do music alone or without them with me. Then I realized not every one has your best interest which lead me to questioning my abilities & my path to doing music. I shut down emotionally and mentally. I hit a rough spot, that took me on a journey to healing my mental health.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer, actress and I own my own earring business called Loops. I love live performances that’s my specialty. It’s something about being in front of a crowd that brings peace to me. I’m Most proud of my ability to keep going. My career path isn’t an easy one. You’re met with a lot of moments of doubt and uncertainty. It forces you to really love what you’re doing. You have to separate love of money and people to remember why it is you’re doing it. What sets me apart is my resilience. Being a mom with all these dreams and ideas, you have to sacrifice a lot and go against a lot of social norms. Some people aren’t willing to do that. I do all that I do with the intent to make others better. I’m not a selfish person. I do a lot of what I do to bring joy and peace to others.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I’m a softy! I have a big heart and I love hard. I like to see others happy. I do this thing I call “a random act of kindness” daily. Where I’ll do something nice for someone, I don’t know. For example, I’ll pay for someone’s gas or meal or send a message of encouragement to a random social media friend. Fun fact i watch a different documentary every morning.
