Rising Stars: Meet Jake Puliti

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jake Puliti.

Hi Jake, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I moved to Nashville TN 3 years ago, looking to curate a solid foundation of friends and artists. My main purpose of moving to Nashville was to expand my horizons and knowledge of music, and artistry. Which the city has yet to let me down, in that regard. I’ve moved three times already. When I first moved to TN from PA, I found myself in East Nashville, relocated to the Madison area, and now finding myself a lot closer to downtown in Edgehill/12th south.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth as silk, aside from the occasional financial scare. Scraping up enough money for rent and potato chips at the grocery store. I’ve definitely had the “hard” times, but have found myself in better situations a majority of the time living in Nashville.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Currently pursuing artistry and songwriting, however, I’ve found being a music producer has brought a fun creative outlet as well. I consider myself to be multifaceted in the world of music. Even though I’m predominantly a vocalist at heart, if found love for playing a plethora of instruments gauging from guitar, to didgeridoo!

I believe what sets me apart from most though, is my ability to make a connection with people while being on stage. That’s a place where I truly believe I excel the most!

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Steve Harvey’s “Jump” speech during a Family Feud commercial break. It is what taught me to risk take. I like to take risks normally. For myself, I found that taking risk either gives you high reward, or it leaves you in the dumps (weirdly enough, I think it co relates with gambling!). My biggest risk was moving to Nashville TN at 20 years old. After an American Idol (On ABC) appearance 3 years ago, I had a bunch of aquainted friends on the show that were living in Nashville. So it inspired me to move! I believe risk taking is understanding two possible outcomes, good or bad. And it helps you become less indecisive as a human.
