Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Biltonen.
Hi Justin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started playing guitar when I was 10. Began playing in the church band in late middle school and all through high school. Started touring the country in a rock band after graduation and a few years later started making regular trips to NASHVILLE from my hometown of Asheville NC. Around that time I was getting back into the country music, I grew up on and started co-writing in NASHVILLE. In 2013 I joined the rock band 3 Doors Down and moved to NASHVILLE full time and started touring the world with 3DD. Wrote a record with the band soon after, that did well and around that same time began releasing my solo country music I had been writing as well as taking it on the road. Still continue to tour with 3Doors Down as well as tour and release music under my name in the country genre.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Never a smooth road haha, as I write this I am touring through Texas. I had My truck broken into and some items stolen my 4th day of this run. There are always going to be challenges both mental and physical in the music business but you have to focus on the love of music and performing and push past the low times.

What were you like growing up?
I was never great in school, I was always daydreaming and more focused and excited about artistic stuff or being outside. I loved Scifi, history and especially westerns. I was Polite and kinda shy but loved performing music whenever I had the chance. I always wanted to travel and have that adventure I was Daydreaming about. That spirit still drives me to take my music on the road and see and experience places first hand.
