Rising Stars: Meet Christie Scott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christie Scott.

Hi Christie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Just Ice Lashes and Baskets is named after my granddaughter Justice. One day Justice came to me with a bucket of toys and stated this is your gift basket, and I thought it was the sweetest. So, one day I had a vision of creating gift baskets on different occasions. I also started selling eyelashes because I love to wear them. I started selling different baskets on Facebook and Pop-up shops and since then this small business has been successful. Justice also took a photoshoot with several of her friends in her age range that has parents or grandparents with small businesses. The purpose of this photoshoot was to let other little girls know that they can could follow in their parent’s footsteps in being entrepreneur with a small business that could grow. The name of this photoshoot was Little girls with dreams become women with visions. Justice has her own motto, just a girl trying to build her empire.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a smooth road, but I really enjoyed making someone’s day. It can be a bit overwhelming when it comes to the Holidays, but I always keep pushing.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Just Ice creates Gift Baskets for any occasion.  The purpose of Just Ice Baskets and Lashes is to make affordable baskets for any occasion and to let any young lady know you can do anything that you put your heart and mind to. I am proud that I’m able to pave the way for Justice. What sets us apart is that this is the first little girl to start a small business at a young age and love making someone’s day. It warms my heart for her to give someone a basket and smile afterwards.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
In order to be successful and teach Justice how to be successful. I must keep God first, and continue being a role model for Justice.
