Conversations with AvA Anduze

Today we’d like to introduce you to AvA Anduze.  

Hi AvA, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been playing music as long I can remember, but it really became a strong influence in my life around age 8 when I picked up the guitar and bass guitar at summer music camps. At these camps, I became a multi-instrumentalist and developed a love of performing and rock and roll. I was told my voice and songwriting would take me far so I worked to develop my skills at Lagond Music School and then Belmont University. Right before I left for college, I joined my band Platinum Moon, which I’ve poured my heart and soul into as a performer. Our dedication as a band led us to winning Connecticut’s Got Talent, performing at the Mazzstock Festival, opening for the band 10 Years, and gaining 470,000 followers on TikTok. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a musician is never a completely smooth road. There are always moments of rejection, criticism, and feeling like no progress is being made. I’ve experienced all of these things, but have never let myself give up. My dedication and persistence are what has brought me where I am today and I hope it continues to help me push past any struggles I face in the future. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a professional singer/songwriter/musician/performer. While I write and perform every genre of music, I am specifically known for my work in rock music. I am most proud of my accomplishments with my band, Platinum Moon. Most people don’t expect my powerful raspy voice and energetic stage presence to come from such a small person, so I would say that tends to set me apart from others. 

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My band is not only some of the greatest musicians I know, but they are some of my best friends and I’m so happy I’ve gotten to experience the success I have with them beside me. 

My parents have always been incredible supporters of my career and encouraged my passions no matter how crazy or bold I had to be to get where I am. 

The music schools Music in Chappaqua, Lagond Music School, and Belmont University have helped me not only grow my musical and business skills but introduced me to incredible musicians and contacts along the way.
