Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashanti Sadm.
Hi Ashanti, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I have recently went through loss of jobs and I decided I wanted to take the chance to work on my own business. I said if I do this, I’m going to go all the way. I spoke to my husband about it and from there I got off the phone and called genesis career college. The next day I was enrolled in school. I started nail tech class and ever since I have been working hard at my craft! This is more than business I enjoy when I get to draw on the nails, I like to call them spunkyyy nails.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. I started then had to take a leave because of loss in my family. From there I had financial issues so I was going to leave school to try to find work again. Needless to say, I was meant to be here so I’m here.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently do acrylic and press-on nails. I am still learning every day is a learning curve for me. But basically, I put my all into every set I do. Its art for me. Some people paint canvas I paint nails. I specialize in the art I draw on nails. I am most proud of my growth. I have come a long way in my growth in my work as well as in life. What sets me apart from others is my energy the company is named spunkyyynailz for a reason I’m very spunkyyy and I love to pour positive energy into others! It’s an experience.
What matters most to you?
My family matters most to me. My husband is my comfort he’s the calm to my storm. My daughter is my best friend and my motivation. Both of them together ground me.
