Daily Inspiration: Meet Katie Lever

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Lever.  

Hi Katie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
• I started modeling in October of 2020

•I began my clothing business, Kitty by Katie, in October of 2018. Formerly named Geezy Threads, I just rebranded it to Kitty by Katie very recently

• I just signed with Alien Management based out of New York in March of 2022

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Modeling wise I have had countless rejections. However, I believe rejection is just redirection. In my past agencies, I have been pushed to fit a cookie-cutter mold and be the “girl next door.” After I left my last agency, I dyed my hair platinum and was then scouted by Alien Management, which couldn’t be more fitting for my look and vibe. 

With Kitty by Katie, running a business as a one-woman show is incredibly hard. I felt like a starving artist for a long time, creating incredible pieces for fast-fashion prices. I just recently started creating exclusively for me and select custom clients. 

What was you like growing up?
I grew up as an army brat, lived all over the United States and Europe I played soccer all my life, Division 1 soccer in college on a full scholarship 

I have always been bubbly, quirky, spunky, enthusiastic, and positive 🙂
