Exploring Life & Business with Ellen Decker of Fit In Twenty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ellen Decker.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Of course! So, after leaving corporate America, I felt so stuck. Living in Miami, I had to balance several side gigs to get by and provide a living for myself. I was pursuing homeschool teaching, and modeling, and I also just became a personal trainer. I knew I loved to teach, and also loved the health and fitness community.

Then Covid hit… Like most people – jobs were lost or made impossible to do remotely. All of my side gigs were impossible to continue. So, my partner Jed, and I created Fit In Twenty. Fit In Twenty is a completely online platform serving as both an App for at-home workouts, as well as a coaching business. I have coached over 200 women and continue to bring on new groups every few weeks!

Our App has over 10k downloads and has helped women fall in love with their health and fitness journey – all done at home. We also just added an activewear line called – Twenty Active with seamless activewear, resistance bands, and more to come!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Fortunately, I have been really lucky (knock on wood). I think my biggest challenge/struggle has been with the amount of workload I put on myself. My goal this year is to bring on a few hires and continue to create more of a work/balance life. I took off a month last summer to travel and I hope to do that again this year.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Fit In Twenty’s (FIT) mission is to help educate women on food and fitness through online coaching. It’s also a mobile app available on IOS and Google!

I graduated from college with a degree in Math Education; however, I later discovered I was way more passionate about health and fitness. I am a Certified Personal Trainer and teach women virtually about how to reach their specific goals. I want women to know that you don’t need to spend hours in a gym or spend hours cooking to see results mentally and physically.

All my workouts are around 20-30 minutes and can be done at home! If clients are interested in needing accountability, education, and motivation – that’s when I would recommend my online coaching program! I’ve coached over 200+ women 1-1 the past year and a half and received 100s of applications to join monthly!

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is changing women’s lives.

I know the value of working out and eating the right foods and the impact it has had on my own journey. I want to help as many people as I can, feel the best they can – mentally and physically!
