Exploring Life & Business with Kelli Burgin of Green Compass

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelli Burgin.

Hi Kelli, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Kelli & I’m a mom of two boys, Jake, 4 & Max, 2! I’ve dealt with anxiety for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until I had kids that I knew I needed a little help. I was overwhelmed, super hard on myself about everything, & quick to get angry. After consulting with my OB, I discovered that I had anxiety and postpartum anger. (I never knew that was even a thing!?) I was put on a medication that did help some but kept me quite foggy & not feeling like myself. In October of 2020, a high school friend reached out after seeing a post about my anxiety. She told me about the benefits of CBD & the business opportunity. Just like most people, I was very skeptical! After doing some research, talking to my OB, lots of thinking, & praying, I jumped in headfirst with the products & the business! I was able to wean off my medication (with my OB’s help) & have been using CBD every day to control my anxiety, boost my mood, & balance out my body naturally! I have never felt better, and I love sharing these unique products & help so many people feel their best! Green Compass is a farm-to-table hemp wellness company, and our products aren’t sold in stores; people can only purchase them through advocates like myself! I’m able to work from anywhere, meeting & to connect with people, building a team, educating about the excellent benefits of hemp & helping others become the best version of themselves!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s not come without challenges, that’s for sure! Being a mom, it’s hard to balance work and home life. Being able to stay home with my boys while working my business is the greatest blessing but can be super hard. Mom’s guilt is real! Time management is the key, I set aside time to work on my business, and I’m intentional with that time to enjoy my boys & make the most of each day!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Green Compass?

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I would say that I’m lucky to have the most unique, positive, and uplifting people in my life! My husband, Colby, is amazing and supportive of anything that I decide to jump into! Having anxiety, especially postpartum, you consider yourself pretty lucky if you have people that build you up & remind you of your potential when you can’t see it in yourself. That motivates me to help others who suffer from mental illness to find relief naturally & feel their best.
