Meet Jeremy and Joseph Baker of Tap House 57

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy and Joseph Baker. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Tap House 57 is a Veteran-owned, father & son business that represents two generations of firefighters from the local area. Tap House 57 has a Firefighter/First Responder-themed atmosphere, featuring local and regional craft beers along with supporting the local food scene.

The Father retired after 28 years of Federal service, 24 of which were in the fire service, and is an Army Veteran. The Son followed in his father’s footsteps, is a firefighter for Fort Campbell, and a Veteran of the Air Force. They both live in Clarksville TN which is the home of the 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell KY, with a large Active-Duty Military and Veteran population.

The number “57” comes from the father’s bunker number he was issued when joining the Fort Campbell Fire Department in January 1994. Bunker numbers were used for the accountability of firefighters and equipment. Once your issued one it never changes unless you leave the department.

Not widely used anymore, the son has carried on the tradition of using the number “57” and hopes that future generations continue.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a fairly smooth road getting to where we are now.

The beer community has been such a huge help so far. Before we opened we traveled around to different breweries and picked their brains about issues that they’ve had and how they overcame them.

If they could do something different, what would it be? If they had any helpful tips or tricks. They have been a wealth of knowledge.

We’ve been impressed with Tap House 57, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Tap House 57 is a taproom in Clarksville, TN. We have 16 beers on tap and everything that is on tap is a Tennessee beer. We also have two reach-in coolers with about 150 different beers from around the globe.

All of our beers are available to go whether it be a 32oz Crowler, a 64oz Growler, or a pick-six offering from our reach-in coolers. We do have appetizer/bar food but we are not a restaurant. We have food trucks occasionally and we encourage people to bring in their own food.

We do sometimes have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. There is an app called Digital Pour that people can download to see the current beers on tap as well as beers that are on deck waiting to go and a full list of our bottle and can selection.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Family vacations, playing sports, and not paying taxes.
