Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabby Rowe.
Hi Gabby, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It’s been a winding road from where I started to where I’ve ended up! When I first moved to Nashville as a brand new graduate with a degree in the music business, I quickly landed an internship at a fantastic publishing and administration company, Bluewater Music, which ended up developing into my first “big girl” job. In 2015, Bluewater wanted to make its mark on the music industry in a new, creative way and decided to put on SoundHarvest Music Festival out in Nashville’s Centennial Park, which I became heavily involved in helping to plan. That 100% sparked my interest in event planning, and my business brain began turning to think of ways I could bridge the gap between my experience in music and events and form something I could call my own. While planning my wedding, it hit me! Thus, The Busy Bride began in 2018, after a year of shadowing colleagues in the industry and grabbing coffee with just about every fellow vendor that would meet with me! It has grown into something beyond my wildest imagination and something I am beyond proud of.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think self-doubt has been a huge struggle along the way! The lingering thought of “there are SO many planners and coordinators out there – why would a client choose me?” But I quickly realized that the wedding industry is booming in Nashville. There is enough business to go around, and supporting your colleagues in the industry makes you the best of the best. Everyone offers something different from the rest, and my ideal client may not be everyone’s perfect client. There is always the struggle of work/home life balance as well, and adding a crazy 8-month-old into the mix sure didn’t help that situation, but I don’t foresee getting that figured out anytime soon.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Busy Bride?
The Busy Bride specializes in wedding planning and coordination throughout Middle Tennessee. We pride ourselves on being a couple’s “saving grace” on the wedding day and doing the hard, behind-the-scenes work that no couple should have to do themselves. From set up and cleaning up of décor, sending that rowdy group of groomsmen down the aisle, lugging tables and chairs, and even cutting the cake, we take it all on so a bride and groom can focus on the importance of the day and not the stress that comes along with it.
What are your plans for the future?
I would love to focus on expanding my team and building a brand beyond just wedding day! There have been ideas of starting up Busy Bride wedding expos and downloadable planning material, to name a few.
