Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Gilbert.
Hi Crystal, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my career in the home mortgage business in 1999. This business has allowed me to be a supportive spouse to my husband, who was in the Marine Core for 8 years. We had our daughter while he was deployed in Iraq, and three years later, our son. The mortgage industry has allowed me to be very involved in my children’s lives, which I am so grateful for! Not only do I get to help folks with their home purchase but being able to complete a loan for someone who never thought they would be able to own a home is amazing! I love what I do and am grateful to have this career.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The Mortgage Industry has changed so much it is hard to keep up! A supportive and excellent underwriting team helps keep all the changes straight.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I take pride in my work and do my best to provide excellent customer service to all of my customers.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
We are experiencing a large increase in interest rates; rates are expected to continue to increase this year. We hope to see the housing market continue to bloom and more inventory comes available for new home buyers.
