Meet Isaiah Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaiah Jones.

Hi Isaiah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am always involved in sports. I played baseball as early as 4 years old; I played football for 1 season and then returned to baseball. However, on the basketball court is where I wanted to be. So, I began playing AAU in the 3rd grade, and the journey began. My mom always tried to get me to think of a business plan and have something of my own. I kept putting it off but went ahead and came up with “Watch Me Work” summer of 2020. It was nice walking into my senior year knowing I had created a brand of my own – A brand that speaks for anyone, athletes, entrepreneurs, those climbing the ladder in their everyday professions, etc. “Watch Me Work” is motivating! I wanted something for student-athletes to feel connected to in their daily grind. “Watch Me Work” is equivalent to “Work Hard, Play Harder”! We are all winners if we put in the work. While “Watch Me Work” is my first business endeavor, I have many more to come. The “Zurk” line with Beta Blue Clothing is out now!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Coming up with a business name, product(s), and the audience is the smooth road! The struggle has supporters. You’d think that would be the easiest part, but it can be challenging. It’s something that you have to work the kinks out of. You will get there eventually, but it takes work!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a college student-athlete attending Pensacola State College in the fall. I specialize in athletic gear; that’s all I wear (Lol). I’m in the gym most days and at home chilling when I’m not. What sets me apart from others is MY determination to win! I am most proud of living by the words “Watch Me Work”.! No matter what comes my way, I will work hard to achieve my goals.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is meeting Stephen Jackson after being invited to play in the Allen Iverson classic. I also play for Marreese “Coach Mo” Speights, Speights Academy. I’m grateful for the opportunities that I’ve had.
