Conversations with Devin Ramon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Devin Ramon.

Hi Devin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began working with and traveling with a Christian music group sometime around my senior year of high school in 2016. I was handling their marketing, branding, social media, photography, and videography. I saw a need in the group for those things and taught myself how to do those things, and do them well.

While I was providing those services for the group I developed a passion for it and I knew that’s what I wanted to do for more artists. I am also a photographer shooting weddings, senior portraits, and boudoir (Devin Ramon Photography). I stepped away from the group in April of 2018.

I was still working with other artists to fill those same needs for them as needed, but the demand for those services was growing, and so was my clientele. In January of 2020, I started my second business, Ramon Media. Ramon Media is an all-inclusive marketing and creative agency offering marketing and branding services to artists, influencers, and businesses.

“All-inclusive” means you can get all services from our agency. Our specialty is social media marketing and managing and photography and videography. Since 2020, I’ve had the opportunities to work with aspiring and established artists, influencers, and businesses such as Matt Ferranti, The Hyssongs, Hey Dude, Bird, and Leaders for America.

I never thought I would have some of the opportunities God has blessed me and they all still hold a special spot in my heart!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a young entrepreneur, with creative businesses at that, has its challenges. Establishing my credibility, and authority, in the industry hasn’t been as difficult as I thought it would be but managing my time, projects, finances, and personal life has been difficult.

I am very involved in my community and hometown of Bay City, MI as well as building more connections in Nashville to someday work there on a more full-time basis, and I have many connections both in Michigan and Nashville, and managing the networking side of things is difficult too.

Somedays I get a call from a radio DJ asking me if I can be in Tennessee the coming weekend to host social media workshops with the artists at the event he’s hosting, sometimes I’m asked if I can fly to California 4 days before they need me there, sometimes I have appointments with my leadership coach, and sometimes I have 2 weddings a weekend to shoot.

I’m young and still figuring things out!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I offer creative and marketing services such as social media marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, SEO, SMO, and more.

My favorite thing, and what I specialize in, is social media marketing! I love social media and the power it has to help artists, influencers, and businesses grow and reach their goals. I would say I am known for my photography and videography.

I have been in the photo/video industry longer than I have been in the marketing industry. Something that I am most proud of is the photos I have shot for singers that have been used on iTunes and their album cover photos!

What matters most to you?
A positive reputation for myself and my clients is what matters most to me.

I have always set a respectful standard, and I hold my clients to the same standard. I’m all about positivity, encouragement, and being a positive role model.
