Community Highlights: Meet Porsche Rosmon of Cup of Love Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Porsche Rosmon.

Hi Porsche, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My defining moment was my now ex-husband “ghosting,” abandoning me in August of 2021, and me posting a video of the empty apartment and going viral. I had two options 1) drown in the bitterness or 2) allow my mess to become my message. I chose the latter. It has not been easy, but it has helped me connect with the women I coach on a deeper level. So many of my clients have gone through something similar, no matter the scale, and my experience allows a level of vulnerability that you often won’t find with other coaches. I started my coaching journey during a marriage that was essentially draining the life out of me. I wanted to love myself and the defining moment happened after months of coaching myself. I could have given up, but I chose a couple coaching myself with therapy to make the best out of what happened.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road at all. When you launch your coaching business, your life falling apart can make or break your credibility. People were watching me; people were still watching me. I chose to heal publicly so that people know it is possible to take the most traumatic events in your life and shift the focus to a positive place. IT IS NOT EASY! Nothing in my life has ever been easy, quite the opposite for me, but I am not just living for me. I have always understood my purpose is bigger than mine, even when I have chosen to play it small to fit inside the box I was placed in. Can I share with you that I am scared every single day? I doubt myself in my darkest hours the audacity of me to work and do my best to build multiple businesses with not a clue of what I am doing. I am terrified most days, but I keep trying. I have only a few examples of successful entrepreneurs, and one included my late great-uncle, who saw success with a farming business.

We’ve been impressed with Cup of Love Coaching, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Cup of Love Coaching specializes in self-love/self-esteem, surviving divorce, body positivity, and femininity coaching. My vulnerability with my clients sets me apart from other coaches. Coaching is different from therapy because we get to build a more personal connection to help with desired outcomes. What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory involves living in the projects of LeMoyne Gardens in Memphis, TN. I was being promoted to the next grade; I was 7, I believe. My mom bought me this gorgeous white dress, matching shoes, and a tiara to wear. I felt so pretty. We had to catch public transportation, so I received many compliments that day. It stands out to me because it was one of the few times that I would feel seen in such a positive way. Who doesn’t want to feel pretty? While this may feel vain to some, I come from trauma very early- being molested, physically and verbally abused, and this was a brief moment that I got to exist and be pretty simple.
