Meet Rikeena Luckett of Murfreesboro/ Nashville area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rikeena Luckett.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi, I’m Rikeena owner & operate of Ajs Custom Kreations & Bounce which is named after my youngest son Antonio Jr. I began this business with the support of my husband who is a small business owner as well. Seeing his ambition and dedication to his success made me want to create that for myself as well. So I just up and quit my 9 to 5 and took that leap of faith. ACKB originally started out as a personalized/ custom creations business. But after months of doing that I realized I still wasn’t happy so I pondered on what’s next for this business. My husband and myself always talked about bringing something to the community for the kids at an affordable cost. That’s when the bounce portion of the business was added and ever since we made that transition things just started to take off. I feel so blessed to even be considered in such a demanding field with lots of competition but like I always say “There’s room for us all!”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey thus far hasn’t been smooth at all from procrastination to being discouraged when things weren’t moving as fast as I wanted. I’ll say to start a business you have to have faith & patience for sure. You’re your own worst critic so with faith & patience you learn to trust the process. Which always works out in the end.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As of now i provide the rental of inflatable bounce houses. I also rent out some other party supplies which you can find on our fb page. I’m most proud of the fact that I was able to endure and keep pushing forward to finally do something I love doing all while putting a smile on kids faces. I think what’s sets us apart from others is the fact that we don’t try to out do or outshine the others. People book us for our professionalism and down to earth demeanor.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was a bit of a tomboy. Being that I come from a big family where I have 11 uncles & 2 aunties which majority of their children were boys. So I always hung out with my boy cousins who til this day are some of the closest people to me. Also, with that being said a lot of my interests were in sports and just having fun.
