Today we’d like to introduce you to Diamon Williams. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Diamon Williams, owner of •Beads by D• custom jewelry started making accessories by hand in October of 2020. Crafting quality custom jewelry began as a hobby.
However, after posting content of the pieces I created on Instagram, I was immediately advised by some of my followers to begin marketing said pieces. Shortly thereafter, I created an Instagram page for my custom handmade merchandise and received copious positive feedback.
I love the art of beading. It actually became a coping mechanism after the decline and passing of my late father and mother-like figure amongst other tragedies during this time period. Thus doing research on the origins of African waist beads and the healing properties of stones and crystals, •Beads by D• began to branch out. Since then, we have started making both men’s and women’s custom jewelry.
Not only limited to waist beads— •Beads by D• now offers anklets, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, etc. for both men and women handmade to fit one’s individual style. More recently, •Beads by D• has launched collections so that customers may embrace their beauty in a physical sense that transcends the soul.
From the ‘Evil-Eye’ collection to the ‘ORISHA’ collection both reflect spirituality and oneness with self and earth as a form of protection.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Things have not always been easy. After starting •Beads by D•, the CEO faced a travesty regarding the passing of their father.
It was difficult to maintain the momentum I had just started my business with due to the tremendous amount of responsibilities that had befallen me. After weeks of coping and working to readjust for my new reality, I was ready to turn my strife into success once again.
Slowly, I was able to get back into the groove of things. Using beading as my coping mechanism and creative outlet gave way to the production of both the ‘Evil-Eye’ and ‘ORISHA’ collections.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What sets •Beads by D• apart is that each piece is handmade— afterward cleansed with sage along with other tools for spiritual purposes.
We want our custom jewelry to reflect the higher vibrations that rest within each individual. By cleansing the merchandise, energy transfer can take place once worn.
Customers have the option to personalize their accessories so that they match their style and essence. Our quality materials are durable- meant to stand the test of time!
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Those can support by giving feedback and/or sharing content. If possible, purchasing merchandise is always great!
