Daily Inspiration: Meet Lisa Sinisgalli

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Sinisgalli.

Hi Lisa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I was born and raised in New York to a close-knit Italian-American family. I grew up in a home where the door was always open, and my incredibly generous mother was always cooking a delicious meal. Waking up to the aroma of Sunday sauce and Engelbert Humperdinck playing in the background will always remain one of my favorite memories.

My grandfather, George Tassone, was a self-made entrepreneur who I looked up to. I can vividly remember listening to him take business calls while enjoying a coffee when he came over to visit. He grew up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn very poor, but taught me that with drive and passion, you can do anything you want in life. People wondered why I called him “George” rather than the traditional “grandpa”, but it made him feel old hearing grandpa, so it just felt right keeping it as simple as George.

Inspired by both George and my mother, I knew with hard work, I can accomplish anything I wanted. Always having a passion for film & TV, I decided to attend the New York Film Academy after graduating from college to learn filmmaking.

I produced and directed a film called “The Knitting Diaries” which was then entered and accepted into a film festival—an accomplishment I am very proud of. From there, I took a job working for The Montel Williams Show in production. I worked my way up from Travel Production Assistant to Producer and met an incredible group of people who I still remain in contact with today.

After a few years at the show, my next venture was one that changed the path of my career forever. Accepting a job at Estee Lauder Companies on 5th Avenue in New York City—was exciting and frightening all at the same time and at the young age of 25, I had no idea what was in store for me.

The journey in the beauty industry allowed me the opportunity to work on incredible brands such as Estee Lauder, Tom Ford, philosophy, and now bareMinerals.

I traveled to Paris, Hong Kong, and all over the US while holding a variety of roles including Retail Strategies, Global Marketing, Global Education, National Events & eLearning, Account Management, and my latest role, working on the QVC business for BareMinerals; this was the perfect blend of beauty and TV and a match made in heaven for me.

It wasn’t long after starting on the QVC business for bareMinerals that I was asked to represent the brand as a spokesperson on QVC—this was a true dream come true moment!

I have a passion for clean ingredients both in my beauty products, as well as what I consume in my diet, therefore it was an honor to represent this brand on national TV. My debut on QVC was in April of 2018 and it was a moment I will never forget. Today, my role continues as a brand representative for bareMinerals and an exciting undisclosed new venture to come in a few months.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and living a clean, healthy lifestyle. You can find me running outside or taking a yoga class on weekends. I currently work remotely in Naples, FL where I am learning to enjoy the slower, simpler lifestyle which is a welcome change from the hectic days in NYC.

My mother is my #1 cheerleader and the best supporter a gal can have. I wish that George was alive to witness all my accomplishments, but I know he’s watching from above and I can only hope I make him proud.
