Hi Dr. MaDan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have always been ambitious, but my motivation has never been about volume. It has been about impact. I grew up in Charleston, South Carolina and went on to study at Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina. Those years shaped my curiosity and commitment to patient centered care. I later completed my integrated plastic surgery residency at Wake Forest, where I saw how transformative this field could be when patients felt truly heard. My goal was to create a patient experience that felt warm, unrushed and elevated. Something that simply did not exist in the traditional systems in which I had worked.
Developing what is now BEYOND Collective became my answer. After joining Dr. Michael Hueneke in 2020, I had the privilege of rebranding the practice following his retirement. My vision was to create a sanctuary that felt luxurious, modern, and grounded in real connection. With an all female team and a mission centered on empowerment, BEYOND reflects the type of care I would want as a patient. Getting here has taken resilience, vision, and a lot of heart, but watching patients step into their confidence has made every moment more meaningful.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has had its ups and downs. Any time you choose an independent path, you face resistance, both internal and external. There were times when the workload felt heavy and the pressure intense, especially while establishing a brand that would represent something so personal in this field.
Still, every challenge reminded me why I chose this path. I wanted to create a space where patients felt genuinely supported and where artistry and compassion guided every decision. Those early struggles gave me resilience, and they continue to inform how I care for patients and how I shape the culture at BEYOND.

BEYOND Collective was created to offer something different in the world of plastic surgery and aesthetics. We provide plastic surgery, injectables, skin treatments, and wellness services. At our core, we offer an experience that feels supportive and personal. We take time to understand each patient’s goals, lifestyle, and concerns so their treatment plan feels like it belongs uniquely to them.
Our team is entirely female, which brings a level of empathy and collaboration that patients notice immediately. We are known for natural results and for patient relationships that feel genuine.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My best advice for finding a mentor is to stay engaged and open. Look for people whose clinical approach and values align with yours, then reach out with sincerity. Mentors respond to genuine curiosity.
Networking has also felt more authentic when I approach it with the mindset of connection rather than obligation. This has been especially true in Nashville. The plastic surgery community here is unlike any I have experienced. It is supportive, collaborative, and remarkably balanced between academic surgeons and those in private practice. Everyone shares knowledge freely, and that creates an environment where mentorship forms easily.
What has helped me most is simple consistency. Show up, ask questions, and contribute when you can. When you do that, the right mentors tend to find you.
