Inspiring Conversations with Casey Dane of Scout + Bloom Flower Preservation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Casey Dane.

Hi Casey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story really began with my love for serving others. I always knew I wanted to be part of the wedding world somehow—somewhere creative, meaningful, and connected to people’s most cherished moments. When I discovered pressed flower preservation, it instantly felt like the perfect blend of everything I loved. What started as a simple creative outlet quickly became something much deeper. After completing my first piece, I fell completely in love with the process—the artistry, the sentiment, and the idea that I could give brides a way to keep their wedding flowers forever. That feeling has guided me every step of the way and continues to inspire the work I do today.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, it has truly been a joy. One of the best parts has been connecting with people and learning what they really hope for when they trust me with something as meaningful as their flowers. Of course, like anyone starting a creative business, there are occasional tough days—moments of doubt, long hours, or learning curves—but those challenges have only helped me grow. For the most part, this journey has been an incredibly positive experience, and I feel grateful every day that I get to do this work.

As you know, we’re big fans of Scout + Bloom Flower Preservation . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is all about preserving one of the most meaningful parts of a couple’s wedding day—their flowers. I specialize in pressing and professionally preserving bridal bouquets and turning them into timeless keepsakes that can be cherished for years to come. Each piece is completely custom, and I take great pride in treating every bouquet with the same care and attention I would give my own.

What sets my work apart is the personal connection and intention behind every project. I make it a point to learn about each bride’s vision, style, and the story behind their flowers. No two arrangements are ever the same, and I love creating pieces that feel truly reflective of their wedding day. I’m most proud of the trust people place in me—these flowers hold memories, emotions, and once-in-a-lifetime moments, and being chosen to preserve them is something I never take lightly.

I want readers to know that my brand is rooted in service, creativity, and care. Beyond pressed bouquet frames, I offer a variety of preservation options—from smaller keepsakes to statement pieces—so clients can choose something that fits their home and personality. At the heart of it all, my goal is simple: to honor your memories and create something beautiful that will last long after the celebration ends.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is the future—both personally and for my business. I’m genuinely excited to see how Scout + Bloom will continue to grow, evolve, and touch more people. Every day feels like a new opportunity, and thinking about what this little dream of mine could become fills me with so much joy and motivation. The possibilities ahead make me incredibly grateful and excited for what’s next.
