Inspiring Conversations with Taylor Cole of My Big Letters

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Cole

Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
When deciding on the décor for our wedding, I really wanted large marquee letters spelling out our name since my husband and I share the same name. After searching and realizing no one else offered anything like it, my husband came up with the idea to make the letters ourselves; and turn this into a business. We knew it’d be hard work to fabricate multiple letters, numbers, and symbols, but with determination and a clear goal, we moved forward. The Lord opened the door for My Big Letters to be born. We wouldn’t be here if He hadn’t placed this vision on our hearts.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced has been conveying the true size of our letters. Since they stand 7 feet tall, the scale often surprises people; especially when they see them in person and realize just how large they are. We definitely need to create a fun reel of us setting up to showcase their impressive size.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about My Big Letters?
Our company offers 7-foot marquee letters, numbers, and symbols are the only ones of this size on the entire East Coast. This sets us apart from the standard-sized options. With our size letters, we handle both the setup and pickup, making the process seamless for our clients. We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to bring life to each event. It’s truly an honor to be in this position.

To make our setups even more grand, we offer a variety of add-on features, including balloons, greenery, backdrops, backlighting, a velvet bench, and a boho rug.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Have patience in the process, and remember that every hurdle is part of the journey. Most importantly, celebrate the small wins along the way. Trust in the Lord and the plans He has laid out for us.
