Life & Work with Bino Howard of Antioch and Downtown Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bino Howard.

Hi Bino , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
It started all with the support of my family. I grew up in single parent household with a village the poured into me. I have a mother that’ll support any and everything I do with the most profound love. I went on to college on a football scholarship and in the midst of it all I found a passion in barbering. I’ve always had a niche for fixing problems and cutting hair was a spectacular outlet. I admired and still this day admire the genuineness of meeting someone new or old and learning more about them in the time of the service provided. The personable hustling spirit of my late grandfather is what I feel during every cut and journey I experience sculpting the man and barber I am today. Since I’ve started I’ve done giveaways, free grooming events, and more to come as this journey continues.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The struggles I had to overcome were self discipline and being able to find a devotion to something I am passionate about. At a period of time football was my love but once it wasn’t, changing my perspective on what life was really shocked and exhausted me. I’ve come across life’s adversities like death and financial stress but I’ve overcome each time and never allowed myself to be down for long.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
