Life & Work with Jasmine Knight

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Knight.

Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My journey as A Makeup Artist began for me in 2018. I was previously working in the healthcare industry had experienced a miscarriage and lost my child. I was beyond devastated and began to suffer from anxiety and depression. My faith began to drift off because I couldn’t process things clearly. The only thing that pulled me out of my horrible state was me doing makeup. I had no idea that I would be where I am today from my creative gift. Makeup has changed my life in so many ways and I am so grateful.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
During this time, it has not been a smooth road at all. As we all know the pandemic has caused a lot of setbacks for everyone. In 2020 I actually lost my job due to changes in my department and my clientele slowed down. I had to keep pushing forward. That lead me down another road to starting my own cosmetic line Eleven22 which is actually my birthday.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Freelance Makeup Artist and Cosmetic Brand owner. My brand Eleven22 I just launched In May 2021. I am so proud of my strength, ambition and willingness to continue to push forward in this industry. I am known for my soft glam makeup artistry here in my city but I want to continue to build and connect with others so that my overall story can continue to be an inspiration to others. I would love to continue to service as many beautiful people that I possibly can while also making a huge impact in the beauty community

What were you like growing up?
I’ve always been creative. I’ve always been outspoken and a free spirit. I get that from my father. I’ve always had a thing for Art. I loved theater class in high school, chorus class, and of course art class. I actually thought that I would become an Art Teacher but God had another route for me.
