Today we’d like to introduce you to Joss Winfree.
Hi Joss, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always loved music. My parents were music lovers, so it was in my blood; I’ve always wanted to be in a successful band that could turn out great original music. I appreciate the success we’re having today and looking forward to the next chapter.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road obstacle. I would say it would be members in and out of the band that didn’t have the faith I had in what we were doing, which has been a big setback.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
As a young kid, I grew up in Southern Mississippi, not far from the legendary southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd’s plane crash. They brought the wreckage to the town I lived in, Brookhaven, MS, me and my oldest sister, cousins, and friends and I explored what was left of this airplane, and most of us had various small parts from the plane. As I look back at this, Skynyrd was always my favorite band, and now I am in a Southern Rock band that covers a few Lynyrd Skynyrd songs. It doesn’t seem real, and as far as my most proud moment besides being a father to 3 girls, the next thing would be our band playing John Snyder’s AKA Bo Dukes 60th birthday back in 2020, and nothing sets me apart from others am just me, and I guess I specialize in playing the drums.
Any big plans?
Our next single, hopefully, it will be out before the end of the year, and going out on tour hopefully we make it to Europe.
