Meet James Mirabal of East Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to James Mirabal

Hi James , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in a small town in New Mexico. Grew up on a small ranch. For some reason, the arts always attracted me. I found music, photography and cinema so interesting. I attended audio engineering school when i was 19 and from there moved to Los Angeles. Cut my teeth. Became a pro engineer and then moved away. Found myself in Colorado for ten years enjoying the mountain life in the western slope of the rocky mountains. Rafting, rock climbing and snow boarding were a large part of life for a while. While converting a school bus into my home I continued my profession as an engineer running music festivals and touring with bands and artists. Eventually I moved here to Nashville to continue my journey in art, music and engineering. I am a writer, videographer, engineer and lover of people and art.

In a nutshell.

🙂

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Is any great adventure smooth? No. The greatest struggle along the way is making sure we learn from our mistakes. Learn and adapt. Grow and change.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an adventure producer. I enjoy going to wild places and capturing performances whether that performance be a live painting session or an artist or band performing music. I can arrive to any location with my camera and microphones and capture a moment. I. am proud of my ability to see beauty in many acute angles of everyday life. I live through rose colored glasses as frequently as possible.

What’s next?
I plan to continue working and collaborating with other artists. No big changes. Just building my equipment kit so that I can adventure to more wild places and. capture more beautiful moments.
