Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessie Tigges.
Hi Jessie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I didn’t start in real estate. I studied Health and Exercise Science in college, thinking I’d end up in the fitness or wellness space. But life had other plans. A few weeks into my senior year, I lost my dad to suicide. It completely flipped my world. From that point forward, it was just me and my mom, and we had to figure out how to grow our family business fast. That experience made me a lot more structured and focused than most people my age. Some even ask if I was in the military just based on how I operate. I laugh, but it’s kind of true.
After college, I moved to Tennessee and fell in love with the area, especially Brentwood and the surrounding towns. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial drive, and real estate felt like the right path. I wanted a career where I could connect with people, be out in the community, and help others feel at home.
Today, I’m a Realtor focused on real estate and small business content creation. I spend my days touring homes, building relationships, and showcasing the places that make Middle Tennessee feel like home. It’s not easy. It’s not glamorous. But it’s real, and I love it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road, but I don’t think growth happens when things are easy. One of the hardest things I’ve gone through was losing my dad. That was the start of me having to grow up quickly and figure things out fast. From there, it’s been a mix of juggling grief, pressure, and learning how to build something of my own.
Getting into real estate also came with its own curveballs. It’s expensive to start, and there’s a lot no one tells you about until you’re knee-deep in it. You don’t get a paycheck just for showing up. You get paid when the deal closes, and sometimes that takes months. On top of that, I’m also running another business as a contractor in the tech space, so time management became a big lesson fast.
The toughest part has been showing up consistently even when results are slow. It’s easy to feel like you’re doing everything right but nothing is clicking. But I’ve learned to just keep going. Keep learning. Keep showing up. Even if I have to pivot or pause sometimes, I don’t stop moving.
We’ve been impressed with Jessie Tigges Realtor at Epique Realty and Content Creator, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m Jessie Tigges, a Realtor with Epique Realty based in Brentwood, Tennessee. I also create content that highlights local businesses, community events, and the real side of real estate. My goal is simple. Help people feel at home, whether they’re buying, selling, or just getting to know Middle Tennessee.
What sets me apart is how I show up. I don’t just post homes. I show what it’s like to live here. I take people behind the scenes, spotlight small businesses, talk honestly about the real estate process, and make it all feel less intimidating. I’m not trying to be a sales machine. I’m trying to build real relationships with people who want someone they can trust.
I specialize in helping buyers and sellers who are relocating or looking to upgrade. I love working with families, first-time buyers, and investors who want more than surface-level help. If you want someone who will actually call you back, remember the details, and get the job done without all the fluff, that’s me.
What I’m most proud of is the connection I’ve built through my brand. People message me saying they feel like they already know me. That’s exactly the point. I want them to feel like they have someone in their corner. Not someone chasing a commission.
Whether you’re looking for your next home, trying to understand the market, or just want to discover new spots in town, I’ve got you covered.
