Meet Melinda Faraneh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melinda Faraneh.

Hi Melinda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story began when I was younger, I discovered Sally’s and was amazed by all the options available. I started playing with color and perms and loved the styling. Like everyone else, life happens and I started a family, I have six kids.

It wasn’t until my youngest was in middle school that I decided I needed to do something for me, something that makes me happy, and I started cosmetology school. I loved it! I found something that made me feel good. I glued myself to my instructor, Jessica Evans, hip and soaked up all the knowledge I could.

When I left school I went straight into a corporate salon. I worked for corporate salons for several years, and though the money was good, it stole my passion, it turned what I loved doing into a job. A year and a half ago, I decided to reclaim my passion and leave the corporate world of salons. What originally started as a partnership turned into my sole business by Christmas of last year.

I am now doing what I love, making people feel good about themselves through their hair. I’ve had awesome experiences giving back to the community using my skill set, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and help even more people fall in love with their hair.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been an easy road. Throughout my career, I have dealt with different struggles and obstacles from not believing in myself to having to learn to be humble and accepting.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I absolutely love coloring and styling and am known for being passionate and caring towards individuals. I love making people feel beautiful.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
