Hi Neil, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Welcome to My Goat – “Roomba meets Netflix for commercial lawn mowing”. My Goat is a sales-driven software company that offers a subscription mowing service for commercial property owners.

The subscription includes access to management software, robotic mowers (Goats), and employee training that reduces mowing costs and increases the productivity of groundskeepers. My Goat boasts saving $1,000 per ACRE per year and over 100 hours of mowing labor can be re-deployed for every 5 acres of grass.

Struggles with hiring and finding good help were real 4 years ago and even more real today. While I have a background in hospitality, technology, and entrepreneurship, I saw a YouTube video of autonomous robotic mowers and developed a financial/operational model to disrupt the commercial mowing industry.

My Goat started subscriptions in residential but saw a great need and gap in the market for commercial landscaping. Technology features and capabilities are expanding day by day. My Goat increases labor productivity by 34%, reduces costs (gas, insurance, maintenance, etc.) by 28%, and has a massive environmental impact by reducing carbon emissions and eliminating noise with electric Goats.

After being in business for 3 years now, we developed a training and certification program for our users to get the most out of our program. Robots are here to stay and are only getting smarter, faster, and cheaper. My Goat can bridge the gap between the robots and the humans!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The essence of My Goat is our software. We’ve developed software that is about efficiency. Not only does our solution give access to new technology but our software OPTIMIZES the use of robotics.

Autonomous mowers aren’t widely known yet in the US, so as a disruptor in the market, we spend a lot of time educating about the hardware. The truth is, they work! They mow! And have been for almost 30 years now.

The key is the software and sometimes people get hung up on the capabilities of the hardware. In short, utilizing the software is the difference and what overall saves time and money!
