We recently had the chance to connect with Amber Reda and have shared our conversation below.
Amber, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I love a slow morning. Reading my emails over a nice cup of coffee is something I look forward to.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Amber Reda, the photographer and owner behind Amber Reda Photography. I specialize in newborn, maternity, and family photography. My studio is located in Hendersonville, just outside of Nashville, and it’s designed to be a cozy, calm space where clients feel comfortable.
Right now, I’m really focused on growing the studio experience for clients—offering wardrobe options, curated sets, and simple packages that take the stress out of planning a session. I love building long-term relationships with families, watching their babies grow, and documenting each chapter along the way.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was an animal lover, an adventurer, and a dreamer with a big imagination. As a child, I was always outside—barefoot, curious, and completely at home in nature. I would make up stories, and build worlds in my mind.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Never water yourself down to fit into the world.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is real, but it doesn’t always show the messy hair, the self-doubt, the quiet moments of overwhelm—or the goofy, wild, creative side that dances in the kitchen with my kids or dreams up entire worlds in my head. That part is just as real, just a little more protected.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I made them feel seen—that I had a way of capturing the beauty in them they didn’t always see in themselves.
I hope they remember me as someone who led with kindness, who loved deeply, and who created from the heart.
And more than anything, I hope my children tell the story of a mom who loved them wildly, showed them wonder in the everyday, and taught them that who they are is more than enough.
