We recently had the chance to connect with Aiden Saroka and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Aiden, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Here’s the routine:
9:00-11:00am: wake up
11:30am: drive to Max’s house
11:31am: begin working on music or content with Max
12:30pm: lunch
1:00pm: return to our projects
2:30pm: leave for work
8:00-11:00pm: return from work, continue working with Max
2:00am: sleepy time
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Howdy! I’m Aiden Saroka, and with my lifelong best friend Max Rennich, I run Akoras Noir (our alt-rock band) and Akoras Entertainment (our production studio). We’ve been creating together since we were kids, and every song, video, and late-night idea has led to this: our debut album, Music From The Motion Picture (coming out 09/26/25).
For us, Akoras Noir’s debut album is more than a collection of songs—it’s the moment we finally get to run full speed. After years of navigating distance and distractions that slowed our momentum, this project is our first real chance to unleash everything we’ve built and discover just how far Akoras can go.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Max. He’s not only my dawg, but he’s also my reality check. He’ll hype me up when I’m doubting myself, just as quickly as he’ll call me out if I get too big for my britches. That honesty is the secret sauce of our friendship—and the reason we can chase wild creative ideas without ripping each other’s heads off!
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
In August 2024, a coworker came over on our day off. After about an hour of hanging out, she asked if she could hear something new I was working on. At the time, I was deep into writing Akoras Noir’s debut album (out 09/26/25), so I played her a track called “Chrome Cobra.”
When the song ended, I turned from my computer and saw tears streaming down her face. She told me it brought back so many moments in her life—the loss of her grandpa, her best friend’s mom battling breast cancer, even the beauty of her nieces being born.
That was the first time I truly witnessed the impact of Max’s and my music in real time. It floored me. And it reminded me what this is really about—not chasing virality, not counting streams, but creating something that leaves a mark and gives the listener an experience they can always come back to.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
Once again, that’s Max Rennich.
Beyond being my #1 homie, his ears proved to me early on that he’s the perfect creative co-pilot. No one on earth has heard more of my original songs than Max. Period.
These days, I can read his verdict without him saying a word. If he’s laid back and just vibing, I know he’s loving it and letting me cook. But if his hands are in his face and his breathing gets louder, I can tell he’s biting his tongue, waiting for me to catch the flaw myself. God bless him for that patience—it’s one of the reasons we work so well together.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Gate-Keeping my original music. If I wasn’t always stuck in my own head, I’d have roughly 500 songs released by now. I’m constantly compartmentalizing, trying to figure out where each song belongs in the context of a bigger project.
I grew up falling in love with records—not shuffling playlists—so my brain is wired to give every batch of songs a proper home. The downside? Between chasing that vision and writing an ungodly amount of bad songs along the way, a lot of music never sees the light of day— at least for now— *wink, wink*
