An Inspired Chat with Gabby Rowe

Gabby Rowe shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Gabby, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My family! Outside of work, spending time with my husband, our energetic three-year-old, our two dogs and our cat keeps me busy and brings me the sense of balance that I need to shut off from the workday distractions. My family is my greatest source of support and the push that I need to keep striving in my business!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
The Busy Bride is a full-service wedding planning and month-of coordination business servicing all of Middle Tennessee. My team and I pride ourselves on being a couple’s behind-the-scenes, sense of calm. Our goal is to handle all of the details, decisions and execution of the hands-on tasks so our couples can commit to being fully present and enjoying their celebration!

It has truly been an honor to transform a couple’s wedding day vision into the most important and memorable day of their lives. I have the privilege of blending creativity and my passion for planning and organization to play a role in helping people make beautiful memories. It is so incredibly rewarding and I can say with honesty that I LOVE what I do!

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
I’d say the relationship with my daughter has completely changed the way I see myself. Being a mother gives you a softness and sense of compassion that I’m not sure was as present before as it is now. It teaches patience, sacrifice, and most importantly, in our fast-moving lifestyles, it teaches us to slow down. A reminder we all need!

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I think I can speak for everyone when I say that the fear of failure is real and can hold anyone back from reaching their full potential. It’s much easier to lean towards the safe options and avoid risk. Don’t get me wrong – I also believe that we should take every opportunity to practice contentment, finding peace in the present and not overfilling our cups.

But as someone with a “fake it ’til you make it” attitude, taking risks is crucial to success, both in business and personally, and most of the time, failure can aid in our growth, reset our goals, and break the pattern of stagnation that can be easy to fall into in our day-to-day lives.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely! I do my very best to bring the exact same energy and values to everything I do in life – both at work and at home. What you see is 100% what you get with me. I’m bubbly, hardworking, and passionate – yet firm in decision-making and leadership when needed. I think this authenticity has actually grown my business. Every wedding, no matter how large or small, gets the same, authentic version of me. And I believe that the trust from our clients that my team and I will bring our “A-game” is what allows us long-term success in this crazy industry!

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Our job is essentially behind-the-scenes problem solving, so a ton of what we handle for our clients goes without notice and that is absolutely alright with me. While the thank-you’s and kind words from our couples act as a HUGE motivator for me to continue serving in this industry, I’ve learned to find fulfillment and a sense of purpose in the work itself, rather than the praise.
