An Inspired Chat with Liam Coleman

Liam Coleman shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Liam, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me right now is wake up and go to the gym. Come home eat and get ready for the rest of the day then head to a write or a gig.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a country/ rock artist originally from Charlton, Massachusetts. I’ve lived in Nashville for the last 3 and a half years. Me and my band play downtown couple days a week then try to hit the road as much as possible throughout the year. I’ve been putting out music for a couple years and in more recent years I really feel like I’ve figured out what I’m doing as an artist and I couldn’t be happier

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents. My parents have been by my side since I started. They always push me to be the best version of myself. They supported me and my music every step of the way.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
To never ever take anything for granted. Without going into too much detail I had some hospital issues about 2 years ago and it made me never take what I do for granted again. I wasn’t able to play shows, write songs, hang with friends it was not a fun time. Just made me a lot more grateful for time I get to spend with people I love and doing what I love.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
My friends. I go to my friends for a lot of advice. It’s good to have a close circle of people you can trust their opinions and run ideas by.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m by myself outdoors. If I have my guitar and the right state of mind there’s nothing better.
