Naomi Ntibonera shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Naomi, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I work on the weekdays, and do content creation as well, whether that is taking content for brands and working on my online clothing. I workout alot, and try to read, take walks, play the keys, or look for new content ideas.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I am Naomi Ntibonera. I was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in City called Bukavu in Eastern Congo. I love the Lord with all my heart. God has changed my life tremendoursly and is continiuing to extend grace and favor in everything that i do. I grew up in Nairobi Kenya and I moved to the US in 2009. I come from a family of 11 people. I graduated college in 2023 and I am currently I am working in Nashville and , running an online clothing business, and doing content creation. I have a clothing brand called “Onera”. I run the clothing brand with 4 of my sisters. It is a Christian clothing brand focust on Modesty, Chic and Trendy outfits. This clothing brand means the world to us and we wanted to create a brand that would inspire women to continue to honor the Lord through their clothing and a reminder of Proverbs 31:25. What makes our brand unique is the different outfits that we intentionally took time to create. and also the meaning of ONERA which is the last 5 letters of our Last name NTIBONERA. I have also been doing content creation for 8 years now. It has been a journey in the creativity space. My main focus with content creation was always how can i share with people things that i am passionate about and bring me joy. my niche is fashion, beauty and lifestyle. I have enjoyed every aspect of creating content for people. throughout my content creation journey i have gotten alot of opportunities and i always try to find ways to talk about the Lord in my Platform. With God being the Lord of my life is important for me to incorporate him in everything that i do.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Growing up in Nairobi Kenya and moving to the US in 2009 really changed my whole perspective about life. Even though i was so young when i moved to the US i began to see life different. I attended elemantary, middle, high school, and college in the US and i began to have goals and aspirations. I came into the land of opportunities and I made sure to take advantage of the opportunities that were presented to me. I had to remind myself that God has already gone before me and all I had to do was to have faith and keep pursing things that God put in my heart. I created so much discipline in me and while growing up I have to figure out things that i was passionate about and things that i had to let go of. I learned to have faith and chase after your goals while remember to pursue Jesus every single day.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would say “God’s grace is sufficient” I think for the longest I was chasing after alot of things and forgetting about what I needed most which was the lord. I had to remind myself that even though my flesh and my heart may fail, God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever ( Psalms 73:26)

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would say God, my family, friends, and things I am passionate about. In regards to Passions, they would say i like to try new things and focus on hobbies that bring me joy.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope they would say that I did the best of my ability to live the life Christ always wanted me to live. That i loved God and loved people well, I served even when no one was watching, I gave generously and pursued my goals and dream to the best of my abiility. I hope they say that i was hardworking and genuine to everyone i ever met. I hope they say that i tried my best to share the Gospel with people no matter how i was perceieved. I hope they say that i was confident in myself because I knew the God that I served. I hope they say I pursued all the things God put in my heart.
