Ric Stewart shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Ric, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Publishing the latest season of Soul Country podcast with Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie McCoy, Steely Dan guitarist Dean Parks, X-Pensive Wino Ivan Neville and Western Americana newcomer Olivia Wolf. Charlie has such great stories about recording with Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Willie & Waylon and Elvis etc.and plays a few tasty licks as well.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Ric Stewart, a Nashville-based marketing strategist specializing in data-driven campaigns and authentic storytelling to engage customers and transact. Through Ace Production, I create engaging content like the Soul Country podcast and a 400K+ view YouTube channel, drawing on decades of media experience. As a VP of Marketing at Double Diamond, I drove $150K+ in revenue and 300% social media growth in 60 days, showcasing resonant content creation and media marketing. I amplify brands and push into new media frontiers formats delivering impact for clients.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a child impacted by the artistic power of clasic rock on the radio in the early 1970’s. This led to me reading biographies and listening to interviews before so many documentaries were available. The prior arts training and creative approaches, I have not only been inspired by and learned from but found myself recreating at various points.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
stick to your guns, keep costs down, pursue your vision
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Extending my documentary into a feature length. I have a music doc, Blues Rock Hits Soul Country for which I published on YouTube in 2022. It comprises 28 minutes of curated footage from my archives exploring the roots of classic rock music in blues and country it has over 110,000 views on Youtube shortcut: bluesfilter.com
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
Took a passion for quality music and spread the word to a wider public to appreciate these artists and styles and carry them on.
