Good morning Tangela, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My nonprofit where I mentor teen girls, on topics related to mental health

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Tangela Babb, LCSW was born and raised in Hopkinsville, KY. Tangela graduated from Hopkinsville High School in 2002 and transitioned to Western Kentucky University in 2003 to pursue a college degree. ~Graduating with both her Bachelors and Masters in Social Work. Tangela became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated in 2008. Tangela currently has many hats as she works full time at Nashville VA Medical Center as a senior social worker, facilitates cancer support groups with Gilda’s Club of Nashville and is the creator of Lipstick After Dark, Girls Mentoring Inc and REVEAL, virtual journaling for women . Tangela has been in the social work field now for over 14 years and has background expertise in working with disadvantaged teens within the Boys and Girls club. Tangela has also worked in different services and programs with Community Action of Southern KY as well as DCBS-child and adult protective services . She also worked as case manager for adults with Intellectual and developmental disabilities . ~Tangela enjoys giving back to those who have served our country and is now looking forward to providing the necessary tools to women to ensure they are equipped to be successful in their life journey.

When I became a social worker

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes taking my LCSW exam. I thought I would never pass
