Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Gleaves

Hi Amy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born and raised in Nashville. Saw the movie “Straight talk” with Dolly Parton at the age of 12 and knew in that moment I wanted to be that girl, the one who people who asked questions to about life. I didn’t know what it called or how but I knew that was me.
As a teen I started to see how some people thrived in life and others stay stuck and never seemed to progress and started digging in. I started to see the people who focused on their future and making new choices were a lot further ahead and I feel in love with figuring out what kind of future I wanted. I ended up pregnant and a single mom at 17. In that moment of telling my family I knew I had a choice to make, either let statistics run my life or fight like hell to be the opposite and prove my life wasn’t over and I could create the life of my dreams no matter what.
I chose the later.
I knew I wanted so much more in my life and I wanted to have a career that spoke to me and excited me, I began working in real estate from the ground up. From receptionist to marketing to training and that is where coaching was introduced to me. I fell in love with the concept of asking people deep, meaningful questions about their life and career and watching them unfold and up level their life. I got certified and started coaching real estate agents and fell in love.

I began coaching and mentoring single moms through non profit who helped women get back on their feet and raise their kids, create careers and become amazing members of society. I did 1:1 mentoring, vision board classes, job training, learning how to dress and parenting classes. We saw these women show up, do the work and thrive!

A couple of years later I met my then husband who had custody of 5 kid and we had one more together so life as a mom to 7 very active kids I took break from coaching to raise kids and begin our real estate investment projects. Over the years we raised kids, created a beautiful real estate portfolio and ventured into new opportunities.
All of this was amazing but I kept having a yearning to coach again and help people realize how amazing they are.

In 2020 I decided it was my time, I went through a new certification and began the path of creating my own business.

I knew I wanted to help women see their true beauty and what was possible for them no matter their background or life circumstance.
Through coaching women I realized men have the same dreams and goals and emotions so I decided to open up and created a space where I can help anyone, any age and at any stage of life level up and become whatever and whoever they want through coaching, mentorship, accountability and seeing the possibilities.

I believe my gift is to give the world back a new, more confident human and with each one I send back out into the world I give the world a little more hope, less judgement and more love.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of the struggles along the way were giving time to what I truly wanted verses giving my kids and then spouse what he wanted and needed.

I sent my whole life putting others first and making sure everyone around me was ok that starting a business felt very selfish at first but seeing how my calling was to help others see their light I knew I had to see my own light.

Balancing home life and starting a business felt like an unbearable task until I realized the more I did for my business and clients the more I was able to give back to my family because I felt whole and more together.

What I realized is balance isn’t a real thing and sometimes you have to give more to one area of life and different times and that is ok.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a certified 1:1 life coach who empowers individuals to elevate their lives by setting and achieving goals, staying accountable, and embracing possibility. I teach people how to understand and harness their emotions as a source of strength, rather than letting them become obstacles, ultimately helping them create the life of their dreams.

I specialize in empowering people to take charge of their lives and learn to trust themselves and say yes to life.

I am known fro showing people what is possible and believing in people when they can’t quite believe in themselves.

What sets me apart is my ability to listen without judgement and guide without emotional attachment to allow them to see life through a new lens.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes! What I have learned is there are so many talented people who allowed lives responsibilities and what society told them to be and do get in their way of being creative and chasing dreams.

I believe covid brought out gifts in people that have truly changed their lives, their kids lives and the lives of their customers.
