Check Out Bobby Connell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bobby Connell.

Hi Bobby, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started playing music when I was just five years old, growing up in Youngstown, Ohio. Most of my earliest performances were in church, where I learned to connect with people through heartfelt songs and honest storytelling. Over the years, music remained a constant part of my life, shaping who I am as an artist. In 2021, I made the move to Nashville to chase the dream full-time. Since then, I’ve been making my way through the songwriter scene, sharing stages with some incredible talent and continuing to grow my voice and vision as a writer and performer.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing in life is ever smooth. Writing and performing have come naturally to me, and that’s a God given part of who I am. I’ve had lots of band failures over the years, just creative differences, life moments. I feel like since being in Nashville, I have hit my stride. I’ve been fortunate enough to have great support from my parents. My wife is my biggest supporter.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I consider myself a singer songwriter, performer, recording artist. I enjoy creating music & entertaining with music.

My wife and I started a songwriter round in Nashville in 2022 and have been able to grow it for the last three years. Met so many people from all over the world that have reached out to play at one of our rounds. I think I’m most proud of how we can provide a place for someone who lives here or is just visiting and wants to be heard. We’ve met people from South Africa, New Zealand, Wales, the UK, Ireland..just all over. My wife and I also do a live interview at our home with one singer-songwriter once a month and stream it live. As much as I love entertaining and getting my own music out, it’s a passion for us to help others get their music heard.

I’m also a part of an organization called Music for Seniors, where we do one hour programs at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Those are my favorite audiences. It’s so rewarding to bring a moment of joy or laughter and sometimes even tears to a group who are so appreciative. Those are my favorite gigs to do.

I have a band as well, called 422 West…we are a five piece classic rock band and that is what I do for fun! Such a great group of guys I get to perform with. We do 2-3 shows a month and it’s just our way of having a little fun.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Just reach out….people can find me on all the socials, or send me an email.
