Check Out Britany Smith’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Britany Smith

Hi Britany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up with a huge family. Very humble upbringing. My family is full of blue collar, hardworking people. Lots of older generation folks in it. My grandparents and great grandparents grew up dirt poor so I was surrounded by lots of old school ways of talking and doing things. We used resources like hunting, fishing, and trapping to help us along the way.
I’ve always had a unique, older southern accent than most people my age because of the older generation I grew up around. My TikTok career started off because people liked the way that I spoke. I started out making videos about being a mom, uses for crisco, reading books and eventually it turned into to comedy skits about my own experiences growing up low class in the south. The skits are what really made my TikTok/social media career take off.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve always just tried to have fun with social media. I really don’t take it too seriously. Things have always pretty much ran a smooth course because of that, I think. The only “obstacle” I’ve faced along the way is having to put social media on the back burner for my family. Family is the most important thing to me and being a mom to my two young children is my first priority and my most important job. When something is happening in life with my kids or family, social media and my skits take a back seat.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in old school, dirt road comedy. My main niche is comedy skits. I also just started doing stand-up comedy.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me, success has nothing to do with having a lot of money or materiaI things. I come from a very humble background. We may not have always had what we wanted, but we had what we needed most of the time. Success in my book is living a comfortable life with my family happy and together. Success is raising kind children in a world full of hate.
