Check Out Byron Glover Jr.’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Byron Glover Jr.

Hi Byron, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Brentwood, TN. I attended Belmont University and graduated with an undergraduate double major in accounting and finance and an MBA in business. I moved to Manhattan after graduate school to work in accounting for a couple of years and have since moved back. I still work in accounting here in Nashville and grow my social media accounts as my hobby.

I started both @nash615 and @drive615 on Instagram around 2015 and Drive615 on Youtube in 2016 and have been building them in my free time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. There were many slow points in growing my social media accounts that I wanted to just give up, but I kept persevering through. I would compare myself to the growth that other people had and become discouraged. It was important that I remained focused on myself and stayed in my own lane. I have come to realize that the time and effort I spent worrying about what other people were doing was much better spent focusing on refining my own craft. That has been a major key to success.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I run an automotive YouTube channel called Drive615 as well as two Instagram accounts (@nash615 and @drive615). I am most proud of hitting 100,000 subscribers on Drive615 (account is now at 152,000). I made it a goal to try and get the silver 100K play button, so I was thrilled when I finally achieved that goal. I specialize in automotive reviews and other automotive content. I try to provide the most natural and authentic reactions to driving the vehicles I review so viewers can get a realistic idea of what it’s like to be behind the wheel.

How do you think about happiness?
Spending time with family because they always make me laugh and bring out my true self. I also love going for drives with the windows down and music up!
