Check Out Cassandra Klein’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Klein

Cassandra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey in the tourism and destination marketing industry has been nearly 10 years in the making, driven by a deep passion for exploration and cultural discovery. Over the years, my experiences have shaped my approach to strategic marketing and business development. As an Account Director for Tripscout, I’ve had the privilege of leading dynamic projects that drive growth and deliver sustainable success. With a strong foundation in strategic marketing, integrated business development, and cross-functional leadership, I’ve learned how to create impactful solutions that help destinations connect with travelers. My leadership philosophy is rooted in a people-first mentality, as I believe that unlocking organizational potential begins with cultivating strong relationships, developing talent, and creating opportunities for continuous evolution. From developing integrated marketing campaigns to nurturing strategic partnerships and leading community-focused initiatives, I’ve been fortunate to lead teams toward transformative results.

Currently, I serve on the Destinations International (DI) Marketing Professionals Task Force (2025), bringing my passion for community engagement and development to a national level. I previously served on the DI Community Connection Professionals Task Force (2024) and am a proud graduate of the Intro Nashville class (2023) and Lakes Area Leadership Academy (2022), which reflects my commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth. I’ve had the privilege of speaking at industry events like the eTourism Tourism Conference (2022), MAKO Chamber of Commerce Conference (2019), and the J-1 Community Support Forum (2019). I’ve also served on the Tri-Lakes Women’s Initiative Board (2021-2022) and contributed as a guest speaker at my alma mater’s Alumni Forum (2021), where I’ve had the opportunity to inspire the next generation of leaders.

On a personal note, I’ve been living with arthritis for five years, and my experience as a patient has fueled my advocacy for the Arthritis Foundation. This journey has strengthened my commitment to resilience, advocacy, and giving back to the community.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me traveling the world, sipping on a hot vanilla latte, supporting local businesses, or enjoying a karaoke performance of “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” with a little Shania Twain flair.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been living with arthritis for the past five years. Managing a physical condition like that while juggling a career in a demanding industry has certainly tested my resilience. But it’s also shaped me in ways I never expected. It’s taught me how to adapt to change, stay focused on my goals, and push through difficult moments when things aren’t going as planned. Battling through physical pain on a daily basis has made me even more determined to never let anything hold me back, especially when it comes to my passions. If anything, it’s fueled my drive to keep moving forward, to not only keep pursuing the things I love but to inspire others to do the same, no matter what obstacles they face. Every setback has only made me stronger and more committed to living life fully.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In my work, I specialize in destination marketing, strategic planning, and business development. Currently, as an Account Director at Tripscout, I have the opportunity to lead campaigns and projects that help destinations connect with travelers in meaningful and impactful ways. Through our creator solutions and network of 150 instagram handles, reaching 80M users online, I focus on leveraging data-driven strategies, integrating innovative marketing techniques, and building strong, lasting partnerships that drive growth.

What sets me apart is my deep passion for cultural discovery and exploration, which I bring to everything I do. I’m known for creating personalized experiences through targeted marketing strategies and for leading with a people-first mentality. I’m also proud of my ability to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing landscape, using my resilience to push through challenges and remain focused on my goals.

What I’m most proud of is the impact I’ve had on the destinations I’ve worked with; whether it’s helping them build stronger relationships with travelers or leading teams toward innovative, community-focused initiatives. What truly sets me apart, though, is my commitment to continuous growth. I never stop learning, and that drive to evolve both personally and professionally is what fuels my success.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is resilience; both in my personal life and in my work. Living with a physical condition like arthritis has taught me how to adapt, push through challenges, and keep moving forward no matter the obstacles. This resilience fuels my passion for what I do, driving me to create meaningful, impactful experiences that connect people with the destinations they love. It’s also about staying true to my values by cultivating strong relationships, developing talent, and helping others grow along the way. Ultimately, what matters most is not letting anything hold me back, especially when it comes to pursuing my passions, making a difference, and inspiring others to do the same.
