Chanci Culp’s TikTok Journey
Initial Goal: Chanci started using TikTok as a strategic way to advertise her return to doing hair after leaving the corporate world, aiming to fill her appointment schedule.

The Shift: The content quickly evolved from professional advertising into a daily vlog, journal entry, and personal check-in, sharing her authentic daily life.

Consistency: She has maintained a consistent presence on the platform for five years.

First Validation (Year One): After about a year of posting, Chanci realized her page was “becoming a thing” when Sonic Drive-In reached out and offered her a paid sponsorship.

Major Milestone: Her dedicated community grew steadily, leading her to reach a massive following of one million followers.

The Outcome: What started as a simple marketing tool transformed into a full-time career as a celebrated and relatable content creator.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been relatively uphill. Sometimes I am just not in the mood to “show up” but even that passes

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Content creator on Tik Tok with over 1.5 million followers. Authenticity has become my brand, I tell the truth about everything and people find that relatable. My opening line is “hey, what are you doin’? Nothin’.” My ability to be real, true and genuine self is what I am most proud of. People can relate to the good, bad, and the ugly and that’s what sets me apart from others.
