Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Wolfe.
Hi Courtney, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in the south we have a deep tradition that women always look presentable. Hair done, well dressed, and makeup on before you even dare leave the house! My mother always inspired me to look my best, because not only is it a way of self expression but self respect. Even showing others YOU are respectful of them by looking presentable. Having worked in the beauty industry for over 12 years as a celebrity makeup artist in Los Angeles & NYC , in addition to being on camera as a commercial model actress, experience allows me create any desired makeup look. Currently, I have a team of makeup artist located in Nashville TN where I now call home. We can produce any style of makeup while offering a relaxing atmosphere and delivering professional quality artistry results. I believe in inspiring a new beauty culture where emotional health, mindful living, and inner radiance take center stage—making beauty a holistic, empowering experience for all.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have a degree in Psychology and that’s what inspired me to build a brand that connects beauty with wellness. The hard part has been carving out space in a beauty industry that’s still catching up to that deeper conversation. Pivoting into a new kind of beauty brand has been challenging. But it’s also what makes my work meaningful—and different.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve worked with high profile clients, fashion week, award ceremonies, brands, live TV, film & more. This year it’s about stepping into something larger than just makeup. The experience of beauty has direct psychological effects. Engaging in beauty rituals can activate the brain’s reward system, reduce cortisol (the stress hormone), and increase dopamine, which improves mood and motivation. More importantly, when individuals feel aligned with their self-image, they tend to show higher self-esteem and emotional resilience. Beauty becomes a therapeutic act of self-affirmation, especially when grounded in wellness and intention. This is what sets my brand apart from others. Going beyond surface beauty, if you will.
What’s next?
I’ve been creating something special for years I’m really passionate about! I’ve got something exciting in the works—it lives at the intersection of beauty and psychology. It’s still under wraps, but let’s just say it’s about helping people feel beautiful in a deeper, more lasting way.
